The Hope Center is a faith-based non-profit organization that exists to educate, support, and empower women and families facing unexpected pregnancies in Boone and surrounding area. We provide accurate information, free services, and practical support with a holistic and compassionate approach. ​Our desire is to inspire confidence in women to successfully navigate the stressors of an unplanned pregnancy with compassion and grace.

Meet our team below!

Madelyne Kirksey

Office & Engagement Coordinator

A recent App State grad, Madelyne joined the Hope team in 2024. She is the welcoming, friendly face clients first encounter over the phone, text, and when they visit the center. She also plays a key part in building relationships with local churches, community groups, and on campus. Madelyne loves reading, crocheting, and trying out new restaurants and coffee shops with her fiancé!

Kaley Conner, RN,BSN, CCCE

Nurse Sonographer

Kaley began serving with Hope as a volunteer in 2016 and joined the staff in 2017. Her calm reassurance and grounded demeanor make her an essential part of the Hope team. She is trained in limited OB ultrasound and childbirth education, offering childbirth classes to Hope clients in addition to ultrasound services. She can often be found attending local bluegrass festivals with her family or serving as Queen Bee in her family’s local honey business.

Molly Law, RN, BSN

Nurse Manager

Molly began working with Hope in 2013. Her long-standing commitment to serving clients with compassion and grace has been foundational to Hope’s philosophy of care. In addition to providing medical services to clients, she also facilitates many of Hope’s relationships within the community. She loves spending her days on the ski slopes, running and hiking with friends, long conversations over good food, and lots of time outside in the sun with her family.

Taylor Campbell

Director of Operations

Another App State grad, Taylor has served with Hope since 2022. Her role includes marketing, fundraising, serving clients as a Client Advocate, and heading up the Journey Through Motherhood mentor program. She loves having the opportunity to serve and support women as they enter motherhood. She enjoys spending her time baking, reading with her kids, and sharing meals with loved ones.

Bevin South

Executive Director

Born and raised in Ashe County, Bevin joined the Hope team in 2023 after spending many years in leadership at local assisted living facility. She leads the Hope team with grace, gentle wisdom, and humble reliance on the Lord. Outside of caring for Hope clients and staff, she spends her days decorating cookies, drinking chai tea and Hint water, and cheering for her sons at their various sporting events.
